The post stated, \u201cIf Indians set foot in England and become English, then the English who set foot in India become Indian. Therefore, the English did not rule India. There is no such thing as \u2018colonisation.\u2019”<\/p>\n
The Tesla CEO not only liked the post but also shared it with a \u201cthinking face” emoji which brought it under the scrutiny of millions of users.<\/p>\n

Musk\u2019s engagement with the post immediately triggered heated discussions online. Many users in India expressed their disagreement and pointed out historical facts to counter the claim.<\/p>\n
One user wrote a detailed rebuttal: \u201cIndians aren\u2019t looting England\u2019s resources. Indians aren\u2019t torturing British citizens. Indians aren\u2019t triggering famines like Bengal (1943). Indians aren\u2019t enslaving British people. Indians aren\u2019t massacring Brits like Jallianwala Bagh (1919). Indians aren\u2019t imposing oppressive taxes like the British salt tax. <\/p>\n

Indians aren\u2019t enacting laws like the Rowlatt Act to suppress British rights. Indians aren\u2019t causing mass displacement or violence like the Partition (1947).”<\/p>\n
Another explained, \u201cHe\u2019s wrong because migration isn\u2019t colonisation. Indians in England didn\u2019t rule England\u2026they just lived there. The English in India controlled the land, laws, and wealth by force. Colonisation is about domination, not identity.”<\/p>\n
A person said, \u201cThere\u2019s a big difference between someone legally joining Tesla with proper documents and someone invading, overthrowing you and declaring they\u2019ll run the company.”<\/p>\n
