Cardi B<\/a> and Nicki Minaj<\/a> have been feuding on X \/ Twitter for days now, but how did this fight start in the first place?<\/p>\n

The bad blood between the two rappers dates all the way back to 2017, when the 42-year-old singer referenced Cardi\u2018s then-boyfriend Offset<\/a> in her and Katy Perry<\/a>\u2018s song \u201cSwish Swish\u201d (Katy was also believed to be referencing Taylor Swift<\/a> in her song, so it seemed like the artists were using it to air out their respective feuds).<\/p>\n

Things between the \u201cBodak Yellow\u201d rapper and the Pink Friday 2 creator only escalated from there, with a consistent back-and-forth that eventually led to a physical confrontation at a New York Fashion Week party in 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the most recent fight started during the rollout of Cardi\u2018s sophomore album Am I the Drama? and has since spiraled into something really ugly, complete with threats of physical violence and insults thrown at children. <\/p>\n

Their latest fight appeared to start on Monday (September 29) when Nicki returned to social media and posted, \u201c$4.99,\u201d apparently a reference to the discounted price of the digital version of Cardi\u2018s newly released album.<\/p>\n

Following up that post, Nicki then used the lyrics of Cardi\u2018s song \u201cMagnets\u201d to write her own series of disses<\/a>. She followed up with an AI-generated post showing Cardi dressed as Barney and started referring to the 32-year-old as \u201cBarney B.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rappers have been tweeting at each other since then, with their posts becoming increasingly offensive. Nothing is off-limits as both Cardi and Nicki have been bringing up the other\u2019s kids, relationships, alleged drug usage, and more. <\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t until Wednesday afternoon (October 1) that Cardi appeared to tire of the virtual fighting. She posted a long tweet calling out Nicki by her government name, Onika Tanya Maraj, and told her to get help.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis my last time responding to you because this past Twitter now.. I gotta see you\u2026 but first ima tell you truth..,\u201d she wrote, seemingly implying that they\u2019ll need to settle the score in real life.<\/p>\n

For now, she appears to be holding true to her promise of that post being her last response, as she hasn\u2019t tweeted anything else since.<\/p>\n

Nicki, however, shows no signs of stopping, and has continued to tweet almost non-stop since then.<\/p>\n
