The Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> placed veteran forward Danton Heinen<\/a> on waivers Thursday as the team trims its roster ahead of the regular season.<\/p>\n

Heinen, 30, is signed through this season at a cap hit of $2.25 million. He had three goals and 11 points in 28 games with the Penguins last season after being acquired from the Vancouver Canucks<\/a>. He had six goals and 18 points in 51 games with Vancouver prior to the deal.<\/p>\n

A fourth-round pick of the Boston Bruins<\/a> in 2014, Heinen has 96 goals and 241 points in 566 career games with the Bruins, Anaheim Ducks<\/a>, Penguins and Canucks.<\/p>\n

The Penguins also placed defencemen Sebastian Aho<\/a> and Philip Kemp on waivers, along with fellow forwards Valtteri Puustinen<\/a> and Joona Koppanen<\/a> and goaltender Filip Larsson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Canucks waive Kravtsov<\/p>\n

The Canucks placed forward Vitali Kravtsov<\/a> on waivers Thursday as he makes his return to North American hockey after two years in the KHL. <\/p>\n

The 25-year-old winger had 27 goals and 58 points in 66 games with Traktor Chelyabinsk last season. He last played with the Canucks in 2022-23, coming over in a trade from the New York Rangers<\/a>. He had four goals and eight points in 44 games between the two teams. <\/p>\n

The Vladivostok, Russia native was selected ninth overall by the Rangers in the 2018 draft. <\/p>\n

General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Vitali Kravtsov has been placed on waivers, and F Joseph LaBate has been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL).<\/p>\n

Flames waive Prosvetov<\/p>\n

Goaltender Ivan Prosvetov<\/a> was among three players placed on waivers by the Flames Thursday. <\/p>\n

He was joined by defenceman Ilya Solovyov<\/a>, and forward Rory Kerins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prosvetov had a 20-16-2 record in the KHL last season with CSKA Moscow, posting a .920 save percentage and a 2.32 goals-against average. <\/p>\n

The #Flames<\/a> have placed goaltender Ivan Prosvetov, defenceman Ilya Solovyov, and forward Rory Kerins on waivers for the purpose of reassignment to the @AHLWranglers<\/a>.<\/p>\n
