{"id":187805,"date":"2025-10-03T17:29:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-03T17:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/187805\/"},"modified":"2025-10-03T17:29:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T17:29:09","slug":"corey-heim-paces-nascar-truck-series-practice-at-charlotte-roval","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/187805\/","title":{"rendered":"Corey Heim paces NASCAR Truck Series practice at Charlotte Roval"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Corey Heim kept the good times rolling in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yardbarker.com\/nascar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">NASCAR<\/a> Craftsman Truck Series practice at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Heim, who has won nine times so far during the 2025 Truck Series season, laid down the fastest lap of Friday&#8217;s practice session.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Brent Crews, Connor Zilisch, Connor Mosack and Kaden Honeycutt rounded out the top five, with Josh Bilicki, Layne Riggs, Corey LaJoie, Parker Kligerman and Grant Enfinger completing the top 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other notable practice results include defending Truck Series champion Ty Majeski in 12th, Rajah Caruth in 13th, Tyler Ankrum in 14th, two-time series champion Ben Rhodes in 16th and three-time series champion Matt Crafton in 26th.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTruck Series races for first time at Charlotte Roval<\/p>\n<p>Friday&#8217;s race will be the first time the Truck Series has ever raced on the Charlotte Roval. The race is the first event in the Truck Series&#8217; Round of 8, which is the penultimate round of the Truck Series playoffs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Heim leads the Truck Series playoff standings going into Friday&#8217;s race with a 69-point advantage to the cut line. Majeski is currently tied (+0) with Ankrum for the final provisional transfer spot, though Majeski holds the tiebreaker.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Truck Series qualifying is next on FS2.
