Medvedev continued: \u201cWhy is every referee in the world trying to intimidate me? I didn\u2019t say one word. After US Open I\u2019m trying to be good and this guy is doing that? I\u2019m supposed to act good? Why are you trying to intimidate me? What\u2019s your problem with me?\u201d <\/p>\n
The umpire Nour argued to the supervisor: \u201cI know he is not feeling well but there is no movement. We have to show that we are to play.\u201d<\/p>\n

Medvedev was fined a total of $42,500 <\/a>for his second-round meltdown at the US Open<\/a> last month, while the ATP handbook states that a violation of its \u201cbest effort\u201d guidelines could result in a fine of up to $40,000. <\/p>\n But Medvedev will not be fined as an ATP spokesperson said: \u201cUpon reviewing the incident during Daniil Medvedev’s semi-final match in Beijing, ATP Officiating has determined that the \u2018Best Efforts\u2019 code violation was issued in error.
