STONY BROOK, N.Y. \u2013 Excellence continues to shine both on the court and in the classroom for the Stony Brook women’s tennis program, as the team and nine standout student-athletes were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for their academic achievements in the 2024\u201325 academic year.<\/p>\n
The Seawolves were named an ITA All-Academic Team after posting a team GPA above 3.2, meeting the high standard set by the national organization. Additionally, Mia Palladino<\/a>, Lorin Tilipman<\/a>, Elena Lobo Corral, Kristi Boro<\/a>, Carmen Victoria Villalba Rubio<\/a>, Mila Charles<\/a>, Cornelia Bruu-Syversen<\/a>, Isadora Fares<\/a>, and Sara Medved were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes, each earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher.<\/p>\n “This is great to see and a well earned recognition\u00a0with all the effort and care our student-athletes\u00a0and academic staff put in,” said head coach Thiago Dualiby<\/a><\/p>\n The ITA’s All-Academic awards celebrate the critical role that academics play in the college tennis experience.
