Among the ideas that Whoopi pressed him on was the promise to make New York City more affordable, and impose a tax on people who make more than $1 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">More from TheWrap<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWith an exception for Joy,\u201d Mamdani cut in with a laugh.<\/p>\n<p><a data-ylk=\"ct:story;elm:img;itc:0;\" class=\"stretched-box\" href=\"https:\/\/powerwomensummit2025.splashthat.com\/Announcement\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"247\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/887c87a5990c7cd46b8b28e438d4f75c.jpeg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The audience and other hosts were tickled by the bit, but Whoopi pushed back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThink again, my friend,\u201d Whoopi immediately retorted. She then immediately pressed on with her actual question, while Behar cracked a smile.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It\u2019s unclear how much Behar is actually making for her role on the show at present.
