<\/p>\n ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Concordia Texas men’s soccer team battled to a 2-2 draw with the Hendrix College Warriors. Luis Pineda<\/a> scored his first career goal, while Bryan Rios<\/a> launched the equalizer at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex on Friday.<\/p>\n Concordia opened up the pressure early with a leadoff lob over the top from Steven Dolan<\/a> that would see Ivan Essis<\/a> with a free shot that missed just high in the second minute.<\/p>\n Hendrix would respond with the lone goal of the first half in the eighth. They would then notch their second goal right out the intermission in 47th.<\/p>\n Concordia would come to life just five minutes later when a corner kick rummage found Pineda for a score. Later in the 68th, CTX notched the equalizer when a saved shot attempt by Edmone Elone ricocheted to Rios.<\/p>\n The Tornados would then have another chance when a through ball from Irvin Martinez<\/a> connected with Tyler Kenny<\/a> who tapped the shot high of goal in the 86th as the match would end in a draw.<\/p>\n Concordia Texas will next travel to Clarksville, Arkansas to take on the University of the Ozarks October 5th.
