CALGARY \u2014 Tanner Pearson<\/a> scored the winner in the seventh round of a shootout as the visiting Winnipeg Jets<\/a> erased a 4-2 third-period deficit to beat the Calgary Flames<\/a> 5-4 in NHL pre-season action on Friday at Scotiabank Saddledome.<\/p>\n

Haydn Fleury<\/a>, Gustav Nyquist<\/a>, Alex Iafallo<\/a> and Parker Ford<\/a> also scored for the Jets, who trailed 3-1 after the first period and 4-2 heading into the third.<\/p>\n

Nazem Kadri<\/a> scored twice for the Flames, who were outshot 35-29. Matvei Gridin<\/a> and Joel Hanley<\/a> added singles for the hosts, who went 0-for-5 on the power play. The Jets were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.<\/p>\n

Iafallo started the Jets\u2019 comeback at 3:47 of the third, and Ford tied the game nine minutes later.<\/p>\n

Connor Hellebuyck<\/a> stopped 25 of 29 shots for Winnipeg, while Dustin Wolf<\/a> stopped 31 of 35 shots for Calgary.<\/p>\n

The Jets blocked 20 shots, while the Flames blocked 17.<\/p>\n

CANUCKS 3 OILERS 2 (OT)<\/p>\n

VANCOUVER, B.C. \u2014 Conor Garland<\/a> scored 90 seconds into overtime and the Vancouver Canucks<\/a> defeated the visiting Edmonton Oilers<\/a> 3-2 in N-H-L.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Lekkerimaki<\/a> gave the Canucks a 1-0 lead at 19:49 of the first period, but second-period goals by Kasperi Kapanen<\/a> and Leon Draisaitl<\/a> gave the Oilers a 2-1 lead heading into the third period.<\/p>\n

Lekkerimaki scored the tying goal at 5:58 of the third period to force overtime.<\/p>\n

The Canucks went 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Oilers were 1-for-3. Both teams had 27 shots on goal.<\/p>\n

Canucks\u2019 centre Elias Pettersson<\/a> took an elbow to the head area and left the game in the second period and did not return.<\/p>\n
