Redshirt sophomore <a href=\"https:\/\/scsuhuskies.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/jaylee-strickland\/19389\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"19389\" target=\"_blank\">Jaylee Strickland<\/a> (Columbus, Ohio) made three saves in the tie as the Huskies extended their unbeaten streak to eight to open the season.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTURNING POINT<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSCSU pushed the pace offensively, especially in the first half with the Huskies recording two of its three corner kicks and four shots on goal in the first 45 minutes, but the USF goalkeeper made three saves with one team save.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIn the second half, Strickland was able to turn away all three shots on goal from the Cougars to preserve the tie.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTOP HUSKIES<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tStrickland made three saves in her fifth shutout of the season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tJunior midfielder <a href=\"https:\/\/scsuhuskies.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/grace-olson\/19385\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"19385\" target=\"_blank\">Grace Olson<\/a> (West Des Moines, Iowa) led the team in three shots and one shot on goal.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>NOTES<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tWith the tie, SCSU moves to 11-1-3 all-time Sioux Falls.&#13;<br \/>\n\tSCSU&#8217;s four straight shutouts are the most since five consecutive shutout victories from Nov. 1 \u2013 Nov. 13, 2019.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Huskies have held their opponents scoreless for 391 consecutive minutes.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe win pushes SCSU&#8217;s unbeaten streak to eight to start the 2025 campaign, extending its program-record best start to a season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tStrickland recorded her fifth shutout of the season and her 13th career blank sheet.
