{"id":189701,"date":"2025-10-04T15:22:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-04T15:22:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/189701\/"},"modified":"2025-10-04T15:22:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-04T15:22:07","slug":"williams-set-to-have-both-cars-excluded-from-singapore-gp-qualifying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/189701\/","title":{"rendered":"Williams set to have both cars excluded from Singapore GP qualifying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Williams is set to have both cars disqualified from Singapore Grand Prix qualifying for a technical infringement.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz qualified a surprisingly muted 12th and 13th for Sunday&#8217;s race at the Marina Bay circuit.<\/p>\n<p>But they have been referred to the stewards after their cars failed post-qualifying inspections.<\/p>\n<p>When the DRS flap was checked both cars exceeded the maximum limit of 85mm on both sides of the rear wing outer area.<\/p>\n<p>Technical regulation breaches are usually a black-and-white matter with exclusion set to follow.<\/p>\n<p>It comes at the race immediately after Sainz scored his first podium for Williams in Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n<p>Sainz had looked strong again through practice, ahead of Albon on pace and with a good chance of starting in the top 10.<\/p>\n<p>But Williams struggled in Q1 and in Q2, and the failed post-race check escalates the team&#8217;s disappointment further.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Williams is set to have both cars disqualified from Singapore Grand Prix qualifying for a technical infringement.
