\nDALLAS \u2013\u00a0The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros men’s golf team is ready to tee it up at the Trinity Forrest Invitational starting on Sunday at Trinity Forrest Golf Course.<\/p>\n
The 54-hole event will feature 18 holes each day Sunday through Tuesday with play starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday and Monday with the final round starting at 8:30 a.m.<\/p>\n
Trinity Forrest Golf Course plays 7,617 yards and is a par 72.<\/p>\n
The Competition
\nThere will be a 15-team field that will feature UTRGV, host SMU, Baylor, Houston, North Texas, Sam Houston, Abilene Christian, Rice, USC, UTSA, Furman, Louisiana, Cal Poly, South Alabama, and East Tennessee State.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jorge Martin Sampedro<\/a> finished tied for 41st\u00a0with a three-round score of 223 after rounds of 73, 76, and 74.\u00a0<\/p>\n Luis L\u00edmon finished tied for 62nd\u00a0with a three-round score of 229 with rounds of 80, 76, and 73. Arthit Krauprayong finished tied for 75th\u00a0with a three-round score of 234 with rounds of 77, 81, and 76.<\/p>\n Last Year at the Trinity Forrest Invitational Arthit Kruaprayong<\/a> finished tied for 37th\u00a0with a three-round score of 216 after carding rounds of 70, 70, and 76. Juan Luis de Bethencourt Duque<\/a> finished tied for 49th\u00a0with a three-round score of 219 with rounds of 73, 72, and 74.<\/p>\n Emilio Gil Leyva<\/a> finished tied for 52nd\u00a0with a three-round score of 220 with rounds of 73, 70, and 77. Esteban Gonzalez<\/a> finished tied for 56th\u00a0with a three-round score of 221 after rounds of 72, 72, and 77 and Luis L\u00edmon finished tied for 80th\u00a0with a three-round score of 227 with rounds of 75, 73, and 79.<\/p>\n UNLV won the team title with a three-round score of 830 after posting rounds of 277, 273, and 280. SMU’s Zachary Kingsland won the individual title with a three-round score of 202.<\/p>\n Upcoming Fall Schedule \u00a0
\nUTRGV finished in sixth place at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic with a three-round score of 880 with rounds of 294, 296, and 290.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nThe Vaqueros finished in 13th\u00a0at last year’s Trinity Forrest Invitational with a three-round score of 876 after posting rounds of 288, 284, and 304.\u00a0<\/p>\n
