CARY, N.C. \u2013 On the final day of competition at Cary Tennis Park, Valeria San Miguel Soria<\/a> and Sara Barbaric<\/a> of the North Carolina Central women’s tennis team captured the MEAC Invitational Championship in doubles. The pair faced off against teammates Alejandra Hidalgo Vega<\/a> and Mariana Zottoli<\/a> for the title.<\/p>\n

In black uniforms, San Miguel Soria and Barbaric stood opposite of the net of Zottoli and Hidalgo Vega, who donned gray uniforms. Ultimately, Barbaric and San Miguel Soria triumphed 6-3, 6-2 on the court in the all-Eagle affair.<\/p>\n

NCCU’s men’s team was also represented as Rodrigo Alves<\/a> and Tim Kohl<\/a> competed in the men’s doubles final. The duo would fall in two straight sets of 6-2, finishing runners-up in the conference.\"MEAC

With Saturday’s win, San Miguel Soria and Barbaric earned an automatic qualifying spot in doubles at the ITA Conference Masters in San Diego, Calif. on Nov. 6-9.<\/p>\n
