{"id":191604,"date":"2025-10-05T16:23:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T16:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/191604\/"},"modified":"2025-10-05T16:23:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T16:23:07","slug":"2-people-rescued-after-restaurant-fire-on-the-danforth-overnight-cp24","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/191604\/","title":{"rendered":"2 people rescued after restaurant fire on the Danforth overnight \u2013 CP24"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto Fire says two people were rescued from the roof of a burning restaurant on the Danforth early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In an email to CP24, fire officials say they were called to the scene just east of Pape Avenue at around 3:25 a.m. for reports of a restaurant fire.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/COL6D4CXCNDM7I35RNFCWYRPS4.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>Toronto Fire Crews investigating a restaurant fire along Danforth on Sunday October 5, 2025 (CP24 photo). <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When they arrived. crews say they found the commercial unit fully engulfed in flames. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Two people were discovered on the roof and safely rescued. Paramedics assessed both individuals, who were not taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/6PFIQLKYXRH2DD2RNRUE7XMQUU.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>fire Fire crews on scene of a restaurant fire on Sunday October 5, 2025 (CP24 photo). <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The building contained commercial space on the ground floor and two residential units above.
