Shaedon Sharpe appears to be headed for a major payday.<\/p>\n
According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line<\/a>, the high-flying guard is expected to sign an extension worth at least four years and $100 million.<\/p>\n Portland\u2019s opening offer came in closer to four years and $90 million, but league executives believe Sharpe will ultimately match the four-year, $100 million deal Josh Giddey got from Chicago.<\/p>\n Sharpe, 22, averaged 18.5 points and 4.5 rebounds last season and has become a key piece of the Blazers\u2019 rebuilding plans.<\/p>\n Pistons<\/p>\n NBA.com placed Detroit fourth in its Eastern Conference power rankings<\/a> and pointed to one major key for a jump forward \u2014 cleaning up the turnovers and fouls.<\/p>\n Cade Cunningham has blossomed into a star, but he also posted the second-highest turnover rate among 20 high-usage players in the playoffs.<\/p>\n The return of Jaden Ivey and continued development of Ausar Thompson should help, but the site noted that the Pistons ranked just 21st in turnover rate and 27th in opponent free throw rate last season.<\/p>\n Those numbers have to improve if Detroit wants to take the next step.<\/p>\n Warriors<\/p>\n Seth Curry is finally teaming up with his older brother Stephen in Golden State, and both sides believe the timing is right.<\/p>\n Seth told reporters<\/a> he had always wanted to \u201ccreate his own path,\u201d which is why he didn\u2019t join Steph earlier in his career.<\/p>\n Steve Kerr said it likely would\u2019ve been awkward back then anyway, but at this stage, the fit makes sense.<\/p>\n Seth, who has quietly been one of the league\u2019s deadliest shooters (43.3 percent from three), holds a non-guaranteed Exhibit 9 deal and is expected to be waived before opening night due to Golden State\u2019s hard cap.<\/p>\n The plan is for him to rejoin the team later on a prorated veteran minimum deal.<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody\u2019s excited about it,\u201d Seth said. \u201cExcept maybe my dad.
