DALLAS \u2013 Sophomore Alex Huang<\/a> shot a 68 on Monday to put himself squarely in contention for the individual title heading into to Tuesday’s final round of the Trinity Forest Invitational.<\/p>\n

One day after carding a season-low 70, Huang continued his march up the leaderboard with a 4-under-par 68, which tied the second-best round of his career. After two days of competition, he sits in a tie for sixth place five strokes behind the leader. His best career finish came in last year’s Trinity Forest Invitational where he placed second.<\/p>\n

Kalle Svederman<\/a> remained 1-under par for the tournament after posting an even 72 in the second round. He was able to recover from a rough front nine with three birdies and an eagle on the 16th hole to come in with a 34 on the back nine.

\nMitchell Maier<\/a> totaled a 73 on the day, while Noah Blaickner<\/a> and Blake Keen<\/a> posted rounds of 74. Playing as an individual, Rayhan Latief<\/a> shot a 76 to fall back to 3-over for the tournament.

\nNorth Texas will begin the third and final round of the Trinity Forest Invitational in 10th place in the team standings. The Mean Green will tee off Tuesday morning with live scoring available throughout the tournament on Clippd<\/a>.
