ESTERO, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina men’s golf team sits in 10th place in the team standings after 36 holes of play at the West Bay Collegiate Invitational. The Chants finished the day at 10-over 582 (284-298) as a team. Host Florida Gulf Coast leads the field at 30-under 546 (276-270).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Max Bengtsson<\/a> posted the Chanticleers’ lowest score of the day, finishing at 4-under after rounds of 68-72. Bengtsson posted nine birdies on the day, with six coming in his first round of the day. He parred eight of the final nine holes and sank a birdie putt on the other. Bengtsson is part of a foursome tied for 14th who sit seven shots back of co-leaders Vaughan McMeans of George Mason and Tom Scullion of Florida Gulf Coast at 11-under. \nFreshman Harrison James<\/a>, playing as an individual, is tied for 20th at 2-under par after rounds of 70-72. James made 10 birdies on the day, five in each round.

\nDrew Sykes<\/a> is tied for 29th place at 1-under. Sykes posted a 2-under 70 in the first round but dropped a stroke in round two with a 1-over 73. Sykes birdied four of the first six holes and finished with five total birdies.

\nColeman Ferguson<\/a> is tied for 35th at even-par after he posted two rounds of par-72 playing as an individual.

\nJack Lee<\/a> sits at 5-over par and tied for 49th. Lee posted rounds of 72-77 on day one. Owen Kim<\/a> tied for 59th at 7-over par with rounds of 75-76. Santiago Schele<\/a> tied for 66th at 10-over par.
