WEST POINT, N.Y. – Binghamton men’s tennis sent a collection of individuals to the eight-team Army Shootout and two doubles pairs had the best results at\u00a0Lichtenberg and Malek Tennis Centers. The round-robin event also included individuals from Sacred Heart, Marist, RFDU, Lehigh and St. Bonaventure.<\/p>\n
The Bearcats went a combined 5-1 in doubles and 4-7 in singles.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The doubles team of junior Filipe Costa<\/a> and freshman Giannis Sakkas<\/a> went 3-1 and the tandem of junior Andre Ajed<\/a> and freshman Harry Liao<\/a> went 2-0.\u00a0<\/p>\n Liao also went 2-1 in singles.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Bearcats next turn their attention to the ITA Northeast Regionals, which begin Thursday in New Haven, Conn. The two singles finalists as well as the doubles champion will qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships in the spring.<\/p>\n Binghamton Results at Army Shootout
