Defenseman Jacob Dion Signs Professional Tryout Contract With the Montreal Canadiens Organization<\/p>\n

He will start the season with the Laval Rocket.<\/p>\n

Jacob Dion, 23 years old, is a left-shot defenseman standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 177 pounds. He recorded 58 points, including 17 goals, in 67 games during his final QMJHL season with the Drummondville Voltigeurs.<\/p>\n

Over the past few seasons, he has put up 22 points in 26 games, 28 points in 29 games, and 22 points in 30 games with Moncton University.<\/p>\n

Kevin Mandolese, 25 years old, is a Quebec-born goaltender from Blainville standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 180 pounds.<\/p>\n

He was a sixth-round pick of the Ottawa Senators in 2018 (157th overall) and has three games of NHL experience.<\/p>\n

In his NHL career, he holds a 1-2-0 record with a 3.30 goals-against average and a strong .916 save percentage.<\/p>\n
