Seth Rogen<\/a> is explaining why he thinks he has been banned from being a presenter at the Emmy Awards.<\/p>\n

The 43-year-old actor explained his thought process during his recent visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday (October 6). <\/p>\n

\u201cI presented there, I think it was four years ago at this point, and I have not been invited back,\u201d Seth said. <\/p>\n

The late-night host then reminded everyone what happened the last time that the actor presented, which was at the 2021 Emmy Awards during the COVID pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou said, and this is a direct quote: \u2018Let me start by saying there\u2019s way too many of us in this little room. What are they doing? They said this was outdoors. It is not. They lied to us. We are in a hermetically sealed tent right now. I would not have come to this. Why is there a roof?\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

The audience seemed to agree with Seth\u2018s assertion at the time, as he was applauded. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

According to the Canadian native, he was lied to and told the ceremony would be held at an outdoor venue.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I had all intention of doing the dumb schtick that they had written for me. And then I showed up, and I was like, \u2018We\u2019re in a tent. I can\u2019t ignore this. We\u2019re going to kill these old \u2026 Eugene Levy\u2018s here. We\u2019re going to kill Eugene Levy. I don\u2019t want to do that,\u2019\u201d the Knocked Up star continued.<\/p>\n

Apparently several of the Emmy producers were \u201coutwardly pissed off\u201d as he left the stage.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most amusing part of the exchange is when Jimmy confirms that Seth really is banned from presenting.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan I tell you something? I checked today because, you know, I\u2019ve hosted the Emmys quite a few times. And you are indeed banned from presenting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seth took the moment to joke that he\u2019s just like the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host, who recently dealt with a suspension controversy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m with you. I\u2019m like you. They\u2019re trying to silence me,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the This Is the End director admits that he did go \u201cvery off-book and made them look bad\u201d so he gets it.<\/p>\n

On the positive side, Seth\u2018s suspension doesn\u2019t prevent him from being nominated.
