NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Freida Parton took to Facebook to clear the air on her sister, Dolly Parton\u2019s health. <\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious,\u201d Freida said. \u201cShe\u2019s been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference.\u201d <\/p>\n

In Freida\u2019s originally posted the following: <\/p>\n

\u201cLast night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn\u2019t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She\u2019s strong, she\u2019s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she\u2019s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!\u201d<\/p>\n

Recently, Dolly postponed her first Las Vegas residency in more than 30 years, late September. <\/p>\n

Dolly said she was dealing with health challenges and, in a statement, joked, \u201cIt must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it\u2019s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!\u201d <\/p>\n

Before that, Dolly also missed the announcement of Dollywood\u2019s latest ride. <\/p>\n

While Dolly hasn\u2019t made a habit of performing since her 2016 \u201cPure & Simple Tour,\u201d she\u2019s been busy releasing books, putting together a Broadway stage musical, and, of course, helping run Dollywood.<\/p>\n
