Brett Lauther, Campbell Fair and newly signed American kicker Michael Hughes all participated in Thursday\u2019s practice.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had the kickers swing \u2019em today, so we\u2019ll sit down and review the tape and make our decision,\u201d Head Coach Corey Mace said.<\/p>\n
Hughes, formerly of Appalachian State, practised with the Roughriders for the first time on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cYesterday, he looked at me and said, \u2018Thanks, Coach. What position do you coach?\u2019 \u201d Mace said with a laugh. \u201cHe\u2019s still here, actually.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, he\u2019s a great kid. He had a successful college career. We brought him in here just to see if he could be a solution and also as added competition as we push toward the back end of the season and into the playoffs.<\/p>\n
