\n\tA spokesperson for President Trump\u2019s White House is attacking ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View<\/a>\u201d after Joy Behar<\/a> claimed on the July 23 episode that Trump is \u201cjealous\u201d of former President Barack Obama. It all started the day prior, when Trump alleged that Obama <\/a>was \u201ctrying to lead a coup\u201d in the past and accused Obama of \u201ctreason.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFirst of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6. Who was that again? That was not Obama,\u201d Behar fired back at Trump in response (via EW<\/a>). \u201cThe thing about him is he\u2019s so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: Trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green\u2019s song \u2018Let\u2019s Stay Together\u2019 better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It\u2019s driving him crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhite House spokesperson Taylor Rogers clapped back at Behar and \u201cThe View\u201d in a statement to Variety that reads: \u201cJoy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It\u2019s no surprise that \u2018The View\u2019s\u2019 ratings hit an all-time low last year. She should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump\u2019s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tVariety reached out to \u201cThe View\u201d spokesperson for comment. The show\u2019s representative refuted Trump\u2019s claims about its ratings by telling Entertainment Weekly <\/a>that \u201cThe View\u201d is \u201cup in total viewers and women 18-49, versus the comparable weeks last season, to its most-watched in four years\u201d and \u201cseason to date, \u2018The View\u2019 is ranking No. 1 in households and total viewers among all network daytime talk shows and news programs for the fifth straight season.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBehar and her fellow hosts on \u201cThe View\u201d such as Whoopi Goldberg have long been critical of Trump and regularly speak out against him during the show. Trump has been on a tear lately against talk show hosts in the wake of CBS cancelling Stephen Colbert\u2019s \u201cThe Late Show.\u201d Before he said \u201cThe View\u201d would get pulled next, Trump boasted<\/a> that Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s ABC late night show would be\u00a0\u201cnext to go in the untalented Late night Sweepstakes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel responded to Trump in a\u00a0post on Instagram<\/a>\u00a0with this comment: \u201cI\u2019m hearing you\u2019re next. Or maybe it\u2019s just another wonderful secret.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWonderful secret\u201d is a reference to a Wall Street Journal story, published July 17, that claimed Trump sent a letter to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003 that was included in a birthday album of well-wishes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
