Ideally, I would have won today. But, yeah, we will try for sure. It\u2019s going to be a proper battle,\u201d Verstappen said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not so easy when Mercedes wins today and you\u2019re P2, and I think the other Mercedes also scored points \u2014 I don\u2019t know what position. The Austrian outfit, led by Verstappen, have finished on the podium in every race since Zandvoort, while teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/f1-drivers\/yuki-tsunoda\" title=\"Yuki Tsunoda\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yuki Tsunoda<\/a> also recorded his best outing with the team during the race in Baku.The Singapore Grand Prix saw Verstappen increase the team\u2019s points tally to 290 with a podium finish, leaving them eight and 35 points behind Scuderia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/f1-teams\/ferrari\" title=\"Ferrari\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ferrari<\/a> and Mercedes, respectively.With six races and three sprints still left on the 2025 calendar, a shake-up for second place in the teams\u2019 standings could be well on the cards. At the front, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/breaking-news\/no-more-catching-mclaren-this-year-papaya-team-crowned-champions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">McLaren already confirmed its constructors&#8217; title last Sunday.<\/a>Verstappen on drivers\u2019 title<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen also weighed in on the drivers\u2019 championship fight.
