Former Missouri Tiger John Tonje made his Summer League debut after missing time due to a sprained ankle in Las Vegas on Monday night. In 23 minutes for the Utah Jazz, the guard scored 16 points, three rebounds and three assists on 5-of-9 shooting from the field.<\/p>\n
Tonje’s performance included a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer with 36 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to put Utah up 83-82 over the San Antonio Spurs, but it wasn’t enough for the dagger.<\/p>\n
The Jazz went the distance with the Spurs through a thrilling overtime period, but San Antonio ultimately came on top with a 93-91 win inside Thomas & Mack Center.<\/p>\n
