Iwuji, who balances a dual career as a professional racer and Navy lieutenant commander, is known for his passion for performance cars and social media racing showcases. Between stints in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with his No. 91 Chevrolet SS and duties with the Navy Reserve, he finds time to share his love of speed with fans online.<\/p>\n

For his latest showdown, Iwuji brought his vivid orange Corvette Z06 to an airstrip for a head-to-head race with a black Lotus Emira. The Emira, launched in 2021, serves as the final internal-combustion sports car from Lotus, available with either a 2.0-liter turbocharged AMG four-cylinder or a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 sourced from Toyota. Lightweight, balanced, and designed for precision handling, it represents the pinnacle of Lotus engineering before the company\u2019s shift toward electrification.<\/p>\n

Before the race, Iwuji conducted a side-by-side comparison and sound check \u2014 the Z06\u2019s aggressive roar against the Emira\u2019s sharper, higher-pitched note. But once the lights turned green, the British contender showed its bite. On both a standing quarter-mile and a roll race back to the starting line, the Lotus Emira managed to outpace the Corvette, leaving Iwuji to concede defeat with a smile.<\/p>\n
