\n\tSacha Baron Cohen<\/a> is shocking fans with his Men\u2019s Fitness U.K. cover story, which includes photos of the muscular body transformation he underwent before filming scenes as Mephisto in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The \u201cBorat\u201d creator debuted as the infamous comic book villain in the Disney+ series \u201cIronheart<\/a>\u201d earlier this summer.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSome celebs use Ozempic and some use private chefs, others use personal trainers. I did all three,\u201d Cohen quipped on his Instagram story while sharing the shirtless photos of himself. He also told fans: \u201cThis is not AI. I really am egotistical enough to do this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCohen wrote in other posts: \u201cDebuting my new character: Middle-aged man who replaced beer with protein shakes\u2026 Hard launching my mid-life crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMarvel fans originally expected Mephisto to pop up years ago in \u201cWandaVision,\u201d and Baron Cohen was always at the top of fan-casting wishlists. \u201cIronheart\u201d producer and \u201cBlack Panther\u201d director Ryan Coogler told Variety last month <\/a>that he was thrilled Marvel waited until \u201cIronheart\u201d to debut Baron Cohen\u2019s Mephisto.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI just absolutely love that we\u2019re not meeting him in \u2018WandaVision\u2019 or \u2018Agatha [All Along].\u2019 You\u2019re meeting him through this stressed-out, young Black genius,\u201d Coogler said. \u201cWhen you watch the show, it\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, that was how you always were gonna meet him.\u2019 It wasn\u2019t gonna be in \u2018Loki.\u2019 That\u2019s the trickster; that\u2019s how he works. That\u2019s where he\u2019s gonna be: in a pizza shop in Chicago, like, where you would absolutely never expect him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHead writer Chinaka Hodge said the decision to introduce Baron Cohen\u2019s Mephisto was a \u201ccollaborative\u201d one, adding: \u201cI could tell the story about process, and you would know how benevolent Kevin Feige is. But I will say that it was a collaborative effort, where we all landed on Mephisto together, but there was one of us in the room who led us there, and I\u2019m eternally grateful for him leading us that direction.\u201d<\/p>\n
