Portland is set to compete this Friday through Tuesday at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships, co-hosted by California and Saint Mary’s. The event is a qualifying tournament for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships and is one of 13 ITA regional sites around the country. The two singles finalists and the doubles champion from each of the 13 regions will qualify for the corresponding NCAA individual championship. \nPlayers from 17 teams will compete in the singles and doubles competitions at ITA regionals in the East Bay \u2013 Cal, UC Davis, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pacific, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, Saint Mary’s, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle, Stanford, Washington and Washington State.

\nEight Pilots are slated to take part in the event which begins with one round of main draw doubles on Friday morning. Two rounds of qualifying singles with then take place the rest of Friday which will narrow the singles field to 64 players.

\nAdmission is free to the regional matches in Berkeley and Moraga. A free live stream<\/a> is available for the matches at the Hellman Tennis Complex, though there is no live stream at the Channing or Korth courts.<\/p>\n
