Fabrizio Romano has reported that Orlando City’s board travelled to London to meet with the representatives of Tottenham forward Richarlison, presenting a project aimed at the summer of 2026. The MLS club’s delegation, led by director Ricardo Moreira, outlined their vision and the role they hope the Brazilian could play within it. According to ESPN, discussions took place with Richarlison’s camp, although Tottenham view him as a key part of their current plans.

Tottenham’s Stance Remains Firm

While Orlando City’s ambition is clear, Tottenham are unlikely to entertain any immediate interest. Richarlison has emerged as a vital component under the current regime, both in work rate and attacking versatility. Sources close to the player have indicated he feels settled in London and remains focused on contributing to the club’s long-term goals.

Long-Term View from MLS

From Orlando’s perspective, 2026 aligns with both their growth strategy and the next phase of Major League Soccer expansion. “We see him as a potential marquee name to elevate our sporting project,” one MLS source is believed to have said. For now, though, Spurs’ position is unwavering: Richarlison is integral to their ambitions.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis

Orlando City’s approach shows respect rather than threat, yet fans would rightly question the timing and intent behind the visit. Richarlison’s form and influence have finally begun to align with his transfer fee, and the idea of him moving to MLS before 30 feels improbable.

A Spurs fan might argue that interest of this kind reflects his rediscovered confidence. Since overcoming injuries and inconsistency, he has become symbolic of the energy and aggression that define the side’s attacking identity. With 2026 tied to the North American World Cup, Orlando’s proposal has marketing logic, but from a footballing standpoint, it remains unrealistic.

Interest from MLS Side Fabrizio Romano has reported that Orlando City’s board travelled to London to meet with…

[440
99169,49,48,15146,60,99170,99171,99172,573,99173,99174,39092,574,99175,561,82,99176,99177,6845,99178,99179,99180,2677
post-201391","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-soccer","tag-2026-project","tag-ca","tag-canada","tag-fabrizio-romano","tag-featured","tag-football-opinion","tag-football-rumours","tag-london-meeting","tag-mls","tag-mls-expansion","tag-north-american-football","tag-orlando-city","tag-premier-league","tag-ricardo-moreira","tag-soccer","tag-sports","tag-spurs-fan-reaction","tag-summer-2026-move","tag-tottenham","tag-tottenham-forward","tag-tottenham-star-interest","tag-tottenham-transfer-stance","tag-transfer-news
["GET
