CAITLIN CLARK has set out her intentions for the off-season after suffering an injury-disrupted season.<\/p>\n

The Indiana Fever<\/a> star played just 13 regular season games this campaign due to the issues.<\/p>\n

So it was no surprise when the 23-year-old<\/a> put her rehabilitation at the forefront of her plans in her exit interview.<\/p>\n

She told press: \u201cI\u2019ll probably take a little bit of a break here just for maybe a week. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really want to lose kind of the stuff I\u2019ve worked on and just trying to get my body back to full health. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s some USA Basketball<\/a> stuff I need to get ready for. And I need to be able to find some runs and some ways to play five-on-five just so I can kind of get that feel back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than anything, I think my main focus is really just getting my body healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark suffered a serious groin injury against the Connecticut Sun in mid-July.<\/p>\n

The Fever battled on without her, finishing the regular season with a 24-20 record.<\/p>\n

They would, however, feel her absence as they fell to a 3-2 series defeat in the playoff semi-finals against the Las Vegas Aces last week.<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cOnce we get back to five-on-five, just being able to test my body and make sure I know it\u2019s in a good spot.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether it\u2019s going to be able to hold up with everything that we think we\u2019ve corrected or we think we\u2019ve worked on, to be able to know I\u2019m in a really good spot there.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo that\u2019s probably going to be my main focus is, you know, just feeling 100% again and then obviously, you know, having that confidence in my body too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark was non-committal when asked about her potential involvement in the spin-off women\u2019s basketball \u2018Unrivaled\u2019 league.<\/p>\n

The fast-paced 3v3 league is championed by many of her Fever teammates, including Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston.<\/p>\n

But Clark refused to confirm or rule out her involvement, saying she is still weighing up her options.<\/p>\n

Her attention has turned in part to the international scene, with Clark looking to make a mark with Team USA<\/a> ahead of the 2026 Women\u2019s Basketball World Cup.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you always explore every opportunity and I haven\u2019t made any decisions and I don\u2019t know what that\u2019s necessarily going to look like for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s some USA Basketball stuff that is probably my top priority right now that I need to prepare for, and I think that will help me prepare for next season too.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s just a lot of different things you got to figure out and balance. I\u2019ll work through a lot of that too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark\u2019s nonchalant attitude is impressive considering her recent position at the centre of a league-wide spat with commissioner<\/a> Cathy Engelbert.<\/p>\n
