An ugly scene played out on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium as video captured a can being thrown at members of Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr.\u2019s family during Toronto\u2019s Game 4 win.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The video, which is broken up into two clips, showed a can hurtling toward a section in the stands where members of the player\u2019s family were seated. <\/p>\n
It appeared to strike a younger member of the group in the head.\u00a0<\/p>\n

X\/@hgomez27<\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t clear at what point in the game \u2014 where the Blue Jays defeated the Yankees 5-2<\/a> to end the Yankees\u2019 postseason run in the American League Division Series \u2014 the incident had taken place. <\/p>\n It was also not apparent if anyone was removed from the stadium over the incident.<\/p>\n The clip, which was first posted by social media account JJNews<\/a>, showed a section of fans looking up toward the top of the section, when the can came into frame and hit the male\u2019s head.<\/p>\n The younger fan attempted to run up the stairs to seemingly go after the person who threw the can, but he was stopped by people around him, and others in the section looked angered by the situation.\u00a0<\/p>\n At least one person who appeared to be a stadium security personnel member or a staffer was in the section and was able to keep the situation from escalating.\u00a0<\/p>\n Fans in the one clip can be heard saying that a \u201clittle kid\u201d had been the one who was hit by the can.\u00a0<\/p>\n A second clip showed that fans had attempted to go up the stairs, for an unclear reason, before they were turned around back to their seats.\u00a0<\/p>\n Fans in Yankees jerseys and attire booed the group as well in the surrounding sections.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the Yankees did not immediately reply to a request for comment from The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays celebrates on the field after the Blue Jays defeated the New York Yankees in game four of the American League Division Series at Yankee Stadium on October 8, 2025.
