Francia Ra\u00edsa<\/a>, who in 2017 donated one of her kidneys to Selena Gomez<\/a>, is addressing years-long speculation of a feud between the two.<\/p>\n

The \u201cHow I Met Your Father\u201d and \u201cGrown-ish\u201d actor shrugged off accusations she\u2019d confronted Gomez about her actions, including reportedly smoking cigarettes<\/a>, in the wake of the transplant.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, right now [what] you\u2019re asking me is nonsense… and there are too many rumors,\u201d Ra\u00edsa told Univision\u2019s \u201cPrimer Impacto,\u201d via Entertainment Weekly<\/a>. \u201cWhen that rumor came out that I had gotten angry or something like that because [Selena] was smoking, I wasn\u2019t aware of those rumors.\u201d<\/p>\n

She went on to note: \u201cWhat you\u2019re asking me are rumors. No one knows what\u2019s going on, and neither she nor I are talking about it. One day, maybe we will address it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a second, Spanish-language interview conducted by journalist Magaly Ortiz just days before Gomez\u2019s Sept. 27 wedding to Benny Blanco<\/a>, Ra\u00edsa shut down a question about whether she and the \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d star had taken time to \u201creconcile\u201d their friendship after their alleged estrangement. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what? I\u2019m not going to talk about that right now,\u201d she said, in a translated version of the interview<\/a> posted to Ortiz\u2019s YouTube page. \u201cBut I do know that she\u2019s getting married and I\u2019m very happy for her … she has a life and she\u2019s already a billionaire and I\u2019m grateful that I was able to do that for her.\u201d <\/p>\n

Questions over the status of Gomez and Ra\u00edsa\u2019s relationship have heated up<\/a> in recent days, given that there\u2019s been no public acknowledgement that Ra\u00edsa attended Blanco and Gomez\u2019s wedding. Meanwhile, other guests \u2015 such as Gomez\u2019s \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, as well as longtime pal Taylor Swift<\/a> \u2015 were confirmed<\/a> to have been present. <\/p>\n

Gomez described Ra\u00edsa as her \u201cbeautiful friend\u201d in a 2017 Instagram post<\/a> announcing she\u2019d undergone a kidney transplant after being diagnosed with lupus. <\/p>\n

Since then, however, Ra\u00edsa has appeared to be less present in Gomez\u2019s life. In 2023, Ra\u00edsa hinted that the two had weathered \u201crocky and tricky\u201d times in their friendship in the past. <\/p>\n
