Evans Leaders Fund (JELF), a critical tool designed to help institutions attract and retain the very best researchers.<\/p>\n<p>A total of <a href=\"https:\/\/research.ubc.ca\/news\/october-10-2025\/ubc-researchers-leading-31-projects-awarded-close-6-million-funding-through\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">31 projects led by UBC researchers<\/a> were awarded a collective $5.7 million in funding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s investment demonstrates the remarkable contributions of Canada\u2019s researchers and institutions, whose commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation benefits Canadians in every part of the country,\u201d said the Honourable M\u00e9lanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions. \u201cBy investing in science and research infrastructure, we are laying the groundwork for discoveries that will enrich our communities and inspire future generations.
