Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Nicolas Torre III on Thursday said the charity boxing match between him and acting Davao City Mayor Sebastian \u201cBaste\u201d Duterte is set at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila this coming Sunday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Rizal Memorial Coliseum is actually already set. A ring is already being set up there for Sunday,\u201d Torre said on the sidelines of his boxing practice at the PNP Gym on Thursday.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnytime, I am ready. Now if he\u2019s (Duterte) not there, we will just continue with our activity of giving ayuda to our kababayan,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
However, the police chief pointed out that he might not be in shape to last the 12 rounds of boxing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m old and according to my trainer, my stamina is not like before, and I no longer punch hard\u2026 I am no longer strong, but to give our kababayan entertainment so we can have some sort of credibility in showing up, I made some refresher on what I used to do,\u201d Torre said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am ready. When I was still a plebe (at the Philippine National Police Academy), I experienced being punched while my hands were tied behind my back.
