{"id":203730,"date":"2025-10-10T22:33:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T22:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/203730\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T22:33:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T22:33:09","slug":"matthew-perry-will-be-honoured-in-concert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/203730\/","title":{"rendered":"Matthew Perry will be honoured in concert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Caitlin Morrison, Matthew Perry\u2019s sister and executive director of Matthew Perry House, says the concert aims \u2018celebrate wellness\u2019 and support mental health. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">TORONTO \u2014 Several Canadian music icons are set to perform at a benefit concert honouring late \u201cFriends\u201d actor and mental health advocate Matthew Perry in November in effort to elevate conversations around mental health. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Organized by Perry\u2019s sister Caitlin Morrison and Make Music Matter, the Live Loud LIVE event will come to Koerner Hall in Toronto\u2019s Royal Conservatory of Music on Nov. 14. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The event will be headlined by Hank Azaria, a \u201cSimpsons\u201d voice actor and occasional \u201cFriends\u201d character, who will front a Bruce Springsteen tribute. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">It will see performances from Serena Ryder, City and Colour, Billy Talent, and Royal Wood, as well as members of Sum 41 and Broken Social Scene. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The concert will be hosted by former JoyDrop musician and SiriusXM Canada host Tara Slone and CBC\u2019s Tom Power. Tickets to the concert are available through the Royal Conservatory\u2019s website. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Perry, who died in October 2023 from a ketamine overdose, was a champion of mental health causes.
