Esteban Ocon has shared grisly details of the after effects he suffered from a heavy crash at the Miami Grand Prix three years ago.<\/p>\n
Just 15 minutes into the final practice session during F1’s first trip to the Miami International Autodrome, Ocon spun and hit the barrier approaching Turn 14.<\/p>\n
The Frenchman was able to walk away from the collision with the barrier and returned to the cockpit the following day after sitting out qualifying.<\/p>\n
Ocon went on to finish the race in eighth place, but admitted he was carrying worrying symptoms following the crash.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve had some big crashes,\u201d Ocon said, speaking to the YouTube channel Legendary.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cTouch wood, those crashes have never been too violent, despite some of them exceeding 40G and nearly knocking me out.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes my eyesight got blurry, or I had a headache for three, four days.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ocon’s collision in Miami was with a concrete wall, rather than a TecPro barrier, which are commonplace in F1 to help absorb the energy of a crash.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old revealed on the morning of the Miami Grand Prix, he collapsed in the shower due to balance issues and was peeing blood.<\/p>\n
\u201cI took 42G \u2013 for people who want to see that crash, it\u2019s not that impressive, but I hit a concrete wall,\u201d\u00a0he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hit both my knees and could barely walk afterwards. I remember, the next morning I was in the shower and I collapsed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cI lost my balance and fell, I was not well at all. I managed, starting from last, to finish eighth in that race.
