\nSaint Francis men’s golf heads to Lewisburg, Pa., for a three day event at the Bucknell Fall Invitational Sunday through Tuesday. Teams will play a round of 18 each day, completing 54 by the end of the invite on Tuesday.\u00a0\u00a0The team will make their seventh\u00a0appearance at this event since 2018. Competing for Saint Francis at this three day event is Toby Webb<\/a>, Hunter Jurica<\/a>, Lukas Cascino<\/a>, Trent Meyers<\/a>, Fletcher Dasso<\/a>, and\u00a0as an individual, Alexander McClain<\/a>. Along with the Red Flash, Bryant, Canisius, Colgate, Fairleigh Dickinson, Holy Cross, La Salle, Le Moyne, Manhattan, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary’s, Niagara, Rider, Robert Morris,\u00a0St. Bonaventure, Wagner, Youngstown State, and two Bucknell teams will also be making their way to the tee box.<\/p>\n
\nThe last time the\u00a0Red Flash competed at this event was in\u00a0the fall\u00a0of 2024. Saint Francis as a team placed 13th overall with a total score of 883 after 54 holes.\u00a0Alex Yong<\/a>\u00a0led the Red Flash cardining\u00a0three-round score 215.\u00a0Yong had a birdie on the first nine (Hole 8) and three birdies on the back nine (Holes 10,13, and 15), helping him shoot one-under on his final nine. Yong placed in the top 20 for the third tournament in a row with a T16th place. Webb\u00a0had an impressive last round of two-under par. Webb carded a pair of birdies on the front nine (Holes 6 and 7) and two others on the back nine (Holes 15 and 17). He also carded 12 birdies in the final round,\u00a0placing\u00a0T35th overall.\u00a0Dasso\u00a0(229, T78th place),\u00a0Jurica\u00a0(229, T87th place) and\u00a0Meyers\u00a0(231, T86) rounded out the Flash’s roster. McClain\u00a0(242, 103rd place) competed as an individual.<\/p>\n
\nThe Red Flash hosted its home event at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pa., Monday and Tuesday. After the two day event, the Saint Francis “A” team finished in 10th with the “B” team following right behind in 11th.\u00a0Toby Webb<\/a>,\u00a0led the Saint Francis team with a total score of 216.\u00a0During his first round of 18 on Monday, he shot a 71 (+1) with 10 pars and four birdies, followed by an even second round of 70 with nine pars and five birdies. Following the final round of 18 on Tuesday, the senior shot a 75 (+5) with 13 pars and one birdie. Webb finished in 30th place. Jurica, placed in 37th after finishing the 54 holes. The junior’s\u00a0total score after the third round is 218, after shooting a 72 (+2), 71(+1), and 75 (+5).\u00a0Jurica tallied a 38 pars and five birdies following the final day. Cascino\u00a0led the “B” team in 46th place. The junior’s third round of 18 consisted of 12\u00a0pars and one birdie. Cascino\u00a0finished the invitational\u00a0with a total score of 222 after shooting a 79 (+9), 68 (-2), 75 (+5) following the two days. The competitors of the Red Flash’s “A” team\u00a0were\u00a0Meyers\u00a0(46th place, 222),\u00a0Isaac Miller<\/a>\u00a0(59th place, 160), and\u00a0Nick Haught<\/a> (61st\u00a0place, 237). Members that competed for the “B” were\u00a0McClain\u00a0(56th place, 232),\u00a0\u00a0Dasso\u00a0(58th place, 234),\u00a0Caden Miller<\/a>\u00a0(66th\u00a0place, 243), and\u00a0Bryce VanHorn<\/a>\u00a0(66th place, 250).<\/p>\n
\nThe Red Flash will be making its way to its final fall competition in Powells Point, N.C., for the Old Dominion\/Outer Banks Intercollegiate Sunday through Tueday, October 26th-28th, at the Kilmarlic\u00a0Golf Club.<\/p>\n
