Bill Maher<\/a> made a bold confession about Taylor Swift<\/a> that divided fans on the most recent episode of his podcast \u2014 and Yungblud<\/a> was having none of it.<\/p>\n

On the October 6 episode of Maher\u2019s Club Random<\/a> podcast, the Real Time With Bill Maher<\/a> host, 69, sat down with the 28-year-old rockstar to chat about a number of topics, including Swift.<\/p>\n

\u201cI f***ing love Taylor Swift, it\u2019s weird,\u201d Yungblud said at one point of the Life of a Showgirl superstar.\u00a0\u201cI love Taylor Swift.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Maher admitted that Swift is a \u201cbrilliant businesswoman,\u201d he bluntly admitted he wasn\u2019t a fan of her music.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just saw her doing the Travis Kelce<\/a> podcast,\u201d Maher told Yungblud, of Swift announcing her 12th studio album on New Heights on Aug. 14 . \u201cShe seemed genuine, funny, cool to hang out with, which I never thought she wasn\u2019t. I just don\u2019t get the music, and I never will.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

After singing a bit of Swift\u2019s 2008 track \u201cLove Story,\u201d Yungblud shared that his younger sisters love the pop superstar\u2019s album Red.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnytime that comes on, it takes me back to a time, and I was in my mom\u2019s car with my sisters,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd I actually f***ing love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yungblud added, \u201cCan I tell you one thing? Lads in the pub are like, \u2018Taylor Swift, I don\u2019t f*** with it.\u2019 I like f***ing Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n

To that, Maher clarified, \u201cI don\u2019t dislike Taylor. I like Taylor Swift. I\u2019m just saying \u2026 I\u2019m making a bigger point because she\u2019s so big. Not everybody has to like everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the comments of a clip shared via Instagram, fans of Maher\u2019s podcast were divided in their reactions. One follower claimed, \u201cMaher is a dope.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another wrote, \u201cIt\u2019s hard to watch this guy. He\u2019s just so negative and grumpy,\u201d as someone else suggested, \u201cBill needs to listen to \u2018All Too Well.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Everyone doesn\u2019t have to like everything. And that\u2019s ok. 100% agree.<\/p>\n

A different Instagram follower said of Swift, \u201cGreatest songwriter of our time \u2026it\u2019s not for weak of minds just saying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, others agreed more with Maher\u2019s perspective, with one replying, \u201cTaylor swift sucks lolol.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second critic shared, \u201cI love who Swift is, I don\u2019t connect with her music. But love what she has done.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet another follower snarked, \u201cBecause you aren\u2019t a 14 year old girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t the first time Maher has weighed in on Swift. In July 2024, Maher brought up the pop star while speaking with Haliey \u201cHawk Tuah Girl\u201d Welch<\/a> on his Club Random podcast<\/a>. \u201cI liked her more when she was country,\u201d the late-night host said. \u201cI love \u2018Sparks Fly.\u2019 I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Maher also made a controversial prediction about Swift and Kelce\u2019s romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure she\u2019s a lovely person, but the whole thing with the football player, I just felt like 35 is a little old to be like, \u2018My boyfriend\u2019s a football player, and I wear his jersey to the game with his number on it,\u2019\u201d he added. \u201cRight? I mean, come on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maher then declared, \u201cHe\u2019s gonna dump her, though, you know that. With her, it\u2019s like the Gatorade at the Super Bowl. You know you\u2019re gonna get dumped. You just don\u2019t know when.\u201d<\/p>\n

On August 26, Swift and Kelce nearly broke the internet by announcing their engagement<\/a> on Instagram after two years of dating.<\/p>\n
