Stuart Macdonald and Sudarshan Yellamaraju both could experience a life-changing moment on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Canadian golfers will be in contention to secure PGA Tour cards in the final round of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship in French Lick, Ind.<\/p>\n
Macdonald, from Vancouver, is three shots back of leader Barend Botha of South Africa. The Canadian is 7 under through three rounds after shooting a 2-under 70 on Saturday. He needs to win to get into the top 20 in the season standings, the cut-off for PGA Tour cards.<\/p>\n
Yellamaraju, from Mississauga, Ont., entered the week in 20th and is projected to stay there after shooting a 1-under 71 on Saturday to improve to 1 under for the tournament.<\/p>\n
Both players are looking for PGA Tour status for the first time.<\/p>\n
Myles Creighton of Digby, N.S. started the week in 29th but is projected to drop to 31st. He sits at even par for the tournament.<\/p>\n
Macdonald, 30, started the week 50th and was tied for the tournament lead after Friday’s second round.<\/p>\n
He received late entry to the Korn Ferry Tour this year after Denmark\u2019s Frederik Kjettrup signed up with LIV Golf prior to the season.<\/p>\n
The top 10 golfers in the PGA Tour Americas final standings for 2024 received full Korn Ferry status for 2025. When the second-ranked Kjettrup bolted for LIV, the 11th-ranked Macdonald moved up to No. 10.<\/p>\n
Yellamaraju, 24, is in his second season on the Korn Ferry Tour.
