{"id":207294,"date":"2025-10-12T10:46:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-12T10:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/207294\/"},"modified":"2025-10-12T10:46:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-12T10:46:07","slug":"f1-driver-manager-predicts-very-hot-2027-f1-driver-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/207294\/","title":{"rendered":"F1 driver manager predicts &#8216;very hot&#8217; 2027 F1 driver market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/?s=leclerc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charles Leclerc<\/a>\u2018s manager, Nicolas Todt, has predicted a \u201cvery hot\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/series\/single-seater\/formula-1\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formula 1<\/a> driver market for 2027, as teams prepare for the fallout from new technical regulations.<\/p>\n<p>After a major shake-up ahead of the 2025 season, only McLaren and Aston Martin kept the same line-ups from the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>With most drivers now locked into long-term contracts, next season is expected to bring little movement. But that could all change once the new rules take effect.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to The Straits Times, Todt believes that 2026 has been a year where drivers will have been wary to make a switch, but may do so once it is clear which team has interpreted the new technical regulations the best.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of drivers are waiting to see how well each team will have worked, and how good their car will be to say \u2018I want to stay in my team\u2019 or \u2018I want to go to another team because they are doing a better job\u2019,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Frenchman expects the post-2026 landscape to trigger major shifts, adding: \u201cI think the driver market will be very hot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leclerc, who joined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/?s=ferrari\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ferrari<\/a> in 2019, remains under a long-term deal with the Scuderia but continues to wait for a car capable of fighting for an F1 title. <\/p>\n<p>Ferrari\u2019s 2025 campaign has been underwhelming.
