EJAE, the composer and vocalist of the globally popular song \u201cGolden\u201d from the Netflix animated film \u201cKPop Demon Hunters,\u201d is set for a highly anticipated return to Korea this week, where she will share her stories behind the internationally successful movie and her new song.<\/p>\n
The Korean American artist, currently based in the United States, is scheduled to arrive in Korea this week and will meet with local media for a press conference on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
During this visit, EJAE is also set to appear on the popular tvN talk show \u201cYou Quiz on the Block.\u201d Adding to the excitement, EJAE will release her solo debut single \u201cIn Another World\u201d on Oct. 24.<\/p>\n
On the talk show, she is expected to share stories about her involvement in the soundtrack production for \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d and the recent live performance of \u201cGolden\u201d on a U.S. talk show.<\/p>\n
EJAE, a former trainee at SM Entertainment, a major Korean entertainment agency, shifted to working as a composer after studying abroad in the U.S.<\/p>\n
Her career has recently taken a new turn, propelled by the global success of \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d and \u201cGolden,\u201d which she composed and performed as the voice of Rumi, the main character.<\/p>\n
Released in June, \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d is an animated film about a K-pop girl group called Huntrix, who lead double lives as demon hunters. \u201cGolden\u201d is enjoying worldwide popularity, having spent a total of eight weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m so humbled and grateful for the love I\u2019ve received as a songwriter and the singing voice of Rumi from \u2018KPop Demon Hunters,\u2019\u201d EJAE said on her social media, Oct. 5.<\/p>\n
She also revealed her plans for upcoming activities.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wrote some songs that never found the right home. I\u2019ve decided I want my artist project to give life to those songs, so people can laugh, dance, or cry with me and the amazing collaborators who helped create them,\u201d EJAE wrote.<\/p>\n
She introduced her debut single, \u201cIn Another World,\u201d as a song she wrote while overcoming a difficult time, which became a great source of comfort to her.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s one song that feels like the perfect place to start. Writing this song helped me through a hard time, and I hope that sharing it can help others, too.
