\t\t\t\t\tBrendan Gallagher<\/a> experienced something of a resurgence in 2024-2025, putting up a 21-goal season.<\/p>\n The veteran forward will once again play a key role in the Canadiens’ success this season, having found early chemistry with Bolduc and Dach.<\/p>\n However, despite his success, fans shouldn’t expect Gallagher to extend his career in Montreal-at least according to one expert.<\/p>\n It will be the end for 33-year-old forward Brendan Gallagher with the Montreal Canadiens in 2027, according to Stu Cowan<\/p>\n Here’s his exact statement:<\/p>\n “Gallagher, 33, has one more season after this remaining on his contract with a US$6.5 million salary-cap hit and as the longest-serving player on the team.<\/p>\n I do think he will finish his contract with the Canadiens. I also don’t think that’s to the detriment of younger players.
