That’s the perfect word to describe the final race of the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series PRO division. Vittorio Ghirelli confirmed his place at the top of the official European NASCAR championship after he clinched his second PRO title in a row in the NASCAR Euro Series Finals. The PK Carsport driver achieved this feat with a dominant win on Sunday at Circuit Zolder in Belgium, the long-time home of the Finals. With five wins and five pole positions secured across 12 action packed races, the Italian cemented his status among the series elite champions.

Ghirelli’s 2025 title was the culmination of a season-long impressive campaign by the Fasano native and his team PK Carsport. Their rivals raised the bar, but Ghirelli and PK Carsport responded with an even faster #24 Chevrolet Camaro and an even more determined driver. Two wins in the regular season were followed by three Victory Lane visits in the Playoffs, showcasing why they are the best combination in the PRO division for the second year running.

“This is an amazing performance!” said an emotional Ghirelli after a hard-fought battle in PRO Finals 02. “I can’t thank my team PK Carsport enough, they’re really unbelievable. I’m so happy, it was so hard in the beginning but we made it. Now it’s time to celebrate with my guys!”

Thomas Toffel and Bruno Mulders joined Ghirelli on the podium. Toffel demonstrated his potential with a new career-best finish, improving on his previous best – a third place in 2024. Mulders took his first PRO podium and made history along the way: The 17-year-old Dutchman became the youngest podium finisher in the PRO division. Both drivers also won their respective special classification: Toffel in the Challenger Trophy and Mulders in the Junior Trophy.

Liam Hezemans ended his year in a strong fourth position, just ahead of Ghirelli’s two main title rivals: Gianmarco Ercoli and Paul Jouffreau. Hezemans and Jouffreau therefore completed the podium in Junior Trophy. Ercoli confirmed his second position in the overall standings, while Jouffreau recovered from 24th to sixth to secure both the overall Junior Trophy win and third in the championship. The Frenchman also took the fastest lap and bonus points for most positions gained in the process.

Davit Kajaia finished seventh overall and second in the Challenger Trophy. The Georgian also took home the win in the overall Challenger Trophy special classification, overtaking Claudio Cappelli in the last second. Julien Rehberg, Garrett Lowe and Sebastiaan Bleekemolen rounded the top-10 positions. Bleekemolen’s top-10 finish decided the Endurance Teams Championship in favor of the #69 Team Bleekemolen outfit, marking the Dutch team’s first title in the NASCAR Euro Series. Yevgen Sokolovskiy closed the Challenger Trophy podium in 13th place.

The race was red flagged for a big incident on the opening lap involving Giorgio Maggi, Jack Davidson and Cappelli. Contact between Maggi and Davidson sent the Swiss’ #33 Ford Mustang into a violent roll in the air. All three drivers walked away under their own power and Maggi was first checked at the medical center, then released and sent to a local hospital for further evaluation. The driver was alert and in good spirits, further updates will follow as they are made available.

Action, spectacle, and excitement, the 2025 Finals once again delivered a dramatic ending to the latest chapter in the NASCAR Euro Series history. As the champions celebrate their triumphs and prepare for the NASCAR Awards in Charlotte, North Carolina, the championship will be back in action in 2026 at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain on April 18-19. Until then, fans can enjoy the off-season through NASCAR.eu and the official EuroNASCAR social media outlets!

PRO Results | OPEN Results

NASCAR Euro Series PR

Drama!
