\n\tDiane Keaton<\/a> will forever be remembered as an icon in film. At her surprise death at age 79 on Oct 11, many are in mourning, including her exes Woody Allen<\/a> and Al Pacino<\/a>. In fact, a pal of Pacino\u2019s just told DailyMail<\/a> that he\u2019s full of \u201cregret.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLooking back, Al admits the love of his life was Diane who he\u2019s always called, \u2018an amazing woman.\u2019 I know he will forever regret he didn\u2019t make his move when he had the chance,\u201d they said to the outlet. \u201cFor years after he and Diane split, Al used to say, \u2018If it\u2019s meant to be, it\u2019s never too late for a do-over.\u2019 But sadly, now it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFor those who don\u2019t know, Keaton and Pacino first met on the set of The Godfather in 1972, but didn\u2019t start dating until 1974 after wrapping filming for The Godfather Part II. They had an on-again, off-again relationship, where they broke up for good in 1990 after an ultimatum: marry her or else.<\/p>\n

\n\tKeaton briefly wrote about their time together in her memoir, Then Again<\/a>, saying: \u201cFor me, the Godfathers, all three of them, were about one thing \u2014 Al. It was as simple as that,\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd they remained somewhat friendly. In fact, back in 2017, he made a sweet tribute to her for her receiving the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award, saying, \u201cI love you forever.\u201d<\/p>\n
