{"id":209184,"date":"2025-10-13T06:18:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T06:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/209184\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T06:18:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T06:18:12","slug":"hallmark-actress-crystal-lowe-diagnosed-with-stage-3-breast-cancer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/209184\/","title":{"rendered":"Hallmark actress Crystal Lowe diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!\n  <\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Crystal Lowe, best known for her role in Hallmark&#8217;s &#8220;Signed, Sealed, Delivered&#8221; movie series, has been diagnosed with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/health\/cancer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Stage 3 breast cancer.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">In a personal essay written for <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/hallmark-crystal-lowe-reveals-stage-3-breast-cancer-diagnosis-exclusive-11828532\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">People magazine,<\/a> the 44-year-old actor and director opened up about the harrowing moment she learned about her diagnosis, explained how the cancer has spiritually and physically &#8220;stripped&#8221; her down and detailed how she has mustered the strength to courageously fight her hardest battle to date.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Like many women, I have always had a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\/full-body-scans-worth-money-doctors-share-what-should-know\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">love-hate relationship with my body,&#8221;<\/a> she wrote. &#8220;Long before it gave me my two beautiful children, I was a bikini model in magazines like Maxim, and, early in my acting career, I spent many years playing roles that were hyper-focused on how I looked. And I felt that pressure, constantly checking my body, adjusting, second-guessing whether I was &#8216;enough&#8217;. It was a quiet battle, fought daily.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Things began to shift when I landed the role of Rita Haywith on \u2018Signed, Sealed, Delivered\u2019 for the Hallmark Channel,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;For the first time I was being seen for my craft. But, if I\u2019m being honest, the mirror still calls me sometimes. I still check in. I still look. Only this last time, it wasn\u2019t about my insecurity. After initially being dismissed by a doctor, Lowe&#8217;s mass had grown in size within a couple months.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/newsletters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT NEWSLETTER<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The mass measured 10 centimeters,&#8221; she recalled. &#8220;This time, my doctor wasn\u2019t so casual; I was rushed for a blind biopsy. After what felt like an eternity, the doctor gently placed his hand on my arm and said, &#8216;Honey, I can&#8217;t be sure, but this feels like cancer.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just stared at him, blinking as if I hadn\u2019t heard him correctly. \u2018I don\u2019t have cancer,\u2019 I thought. \u2018That\u2019s crazy.\u2019 But deep down, something inside me whispered, &#8216;What if?&#8217; Three days later, my G.P. called to say I had Invasive Carcinoma in one of the ducts. And yet&#8230; I promise to persevere. To turn poison into medicine. To grow. That\u2019s what I\u2019m learning every single day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If you&#8217;re walking a hard road too, just know, you\u2019re not alone,&#8221; she added. \u00a0&#8220;We may not get to choose what happens to us, but we do get to choose how we meet it.
