JPMorgan announced a $1.5 trillion plan to bolster critical US industries, focusing on four key sectors.
\n CEO Jamie Dimon highlights America’s reliance on unreliable sources for minerals and manufacturing.
\n Investment will target defense, frontier tech, energy, and supply chain industries.<\/p>\n

Jamie Dimon announced Monday<\/a> morning that JPMorgan will spearhead a $1.5 trillion initiative to invest in critical industries for the US over the next decade.<\/p>\n

“It has become painfully clear that the United States has allowed itself to become too reliant on unreliable sources of critical minerals, products, and manufacturing \u2014 all of which are essential for our national security,” Dimon said, adding that the program will include $10 billion of investment of the bank’s own capital.<\/p>\n

Here are the four main industries that Dimon highlighted as part of the bank’s Security and Resiliency Initiative, along with the specific projects within each area that the bank plans to focus on.<\/p>\n

“Hopefully, once again, as America has in the past, we will all come together to address these immense challenges,” Dimon said in the announcement. “We need to act now.”<\/p>\n
