{"id":210452,"date":"2025-10-13T18:37:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T18:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/210452\/"},"modified":"2025-10-13T18:37:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T18:37:10","slug":"saudi-aramco-can-sustain-12-million-mpd-oil-output-for-a-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/210452\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Aramco Can Sustain 12 Million Mpd Oil Output for a Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"speakable\">Saudi Aramco can sustain its oil production at its maximum capacity of 12 million barrels per day (bpd) for a year without additional investments, Amin Nasser, the chief executive of the Saudi state oil giant <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/amena__bakr\/status\/1977696307373322691\" rel=\"nofollow\">said<\/a> at the Energy Intelligence Forum in London on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Concerns have emerged among analysts in recent weeks that the reversal of the OPEC+ cuts leaves the <a href=\"https:\/\/oilprice.com\/Energy\/Crude-Oil\/OPEC-Nears-Its-Limit-Leaving-Prices-One-Crisis-Away-from-a-Spike.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">declining spare capacity<\/a> vulnerable to supply shocks. Saudi Arabia holds the world\u2019s biggest spare capacity. It is estimated at more than 2 million bpd, but it may actually be as low as between 600,000 bpd and 1 million bpd that can be brought up quickly and sustained for a period of time, according to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/markets\/commodities\/surging-opec-oil-output-leaves-market-with-shrinking-shock-absorbers-2025-10-05\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">estimates<\/a>\u00a0by Reuters\u2019 energy columnist Ron Bousso.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi Arabia and its state oil firm, the world\u2019s biggest oil company, expect global oil demand to continue growing, Nasser said at the forum.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Saudis have bullish demand forecasts for both this year and next. Aramco\u2019s Nasser <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/saudi-aramco-can-sustain-12-million-bpd-maximum-oil-capacity-year-ceo-says-2025-10-13\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">expects<\/a> the world\u2019s oil demand to increase by between 1.1 million bpd and 1.3 million bpd in 2025, and by another 1.2 million bpd to 1.4 million bpd next year.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aramco.com\/en\/news-media\/speeches\/2025\/remarks-by-amin-h-nasser-at-the-2025-energy-intelligence-forum\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">speech<\/a> at the Energy Intelligence Forum, Nasser said the energy \u201ctransition hype has not been matched by reality on the ground.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the icons of transition are still clearly stuck in first gear, hydrocarbons are largely carrying the extra load, and they remain the backbone of global energy and the most reliable engine of prosperity,\u201d Aramco\u2019s CEO added, noting that \u201cin reality, this is not a true energy transition; it\u2019s an energy addition which requires all hands on deck.\u201d <br \/>As Aramco\u2019s strategy reflects the realistic outlook, \u201cWe are determined to remain dominant in oil thanks to a massive resource base, low costs, and one of the lowest upstream carbon intensities across the industry,\u201d Nasser said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also see resilient demand, and the pressing need for long-term investments in supply is now widely accepted.
