WASHINGTON (TNND) \u2014 A Department of Homeland Security official fired back at singer Chappell Roan after she yelled \u201cf**k ICE\u201d during a concert in California.<\/p>\n

Last week, Roan was performing in Pasadena, California where she yelled \u201cF**K ICE\u201d resulting in cheers from the audience.<\/a><\/p>\n

Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin responded to Roan\u2019s comment in a statement to TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Pink Pony Club is good,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cPedophiles are bad. That’s who we\u2019re getting off of our streets. Get a grip.”<\/p>\n

\u201cPink Pony Club\u201d is one of Roan\u2019s hit songs.<\/p>\n

Despite the pushback from McLaughlin, Roan said she will continue to perform across the U.S. in order to \u201cbring queer people joy,” according to The Mirror US<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She said she almost didn\u2019t tour in the U.S. and decided to do so at the last minute.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis job is so awesome,\u201d she told the crowd. \u201cThank you for making it awesome.”<\/p>\n

Part of President Donald Trump\u2019s 2024 campaign was cracking down on illegal immigration and mass deportations<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Under Trump, the National Guard has been sent to different states in order to help crack down on crime and guard Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities.<\/p>\n
