Frankie Muniz has confirmed his return to the NASCAR<\/a> Craftsman Truck Series with No. 33 Reaume Brothers Racing<\/a> Ford after an injury saw him out of the championship since the end of August.<\/p>\n

The actor-turned-racing driver, known for playing the title character in Malcom in the Middle, announced on August 28, 2025, that he would be out of the driver’s seat for six to eight weeks after suffering a distal radius fracture. But he has now confirmed that he will return to Talladega.<\/p>\n

“I’m thrilled to announce that I’m officially BACK after that pesky broken wrist sidelined me,” he wrote on social media. “Docs gave me the green light, and I’m hitting the track again THIS WEEK at Talladega! <\/p>\n

“I’ve been itching to get behind the wheel, and this break only fired me up more. Super motivated to crush it and finish the season strong!”<\/p>\n

Muniz had fallen from a ladder while replacing the batteries in a security camera, which saw him miss four races.<\/p>\n

“The phrase ‘FML’ (Frankie Muniz’s Life) takes on new meaning with moments like these. I’m disappointed to share that I won\u2019t be racing at Darlington this weekend or for the next few weeks due to a distal radius fracture,” he confirmed at the time.<\/p>\n

“Yesterday, I fell from the top of a ladder while changing the batteries in a Ring camera in my backyard. Note to self: heed the ladder warning that says, ‘Do not sit or stand on top step.’ In hindsight, a taller ladder would\u2019ve been smarter. <\/p>\n

“While I\u2019m gutted to miss the races, I\u2019m grateful it wasn\u2019t worse. I feel for my team, who\u2019ve poured their hearts into this season, and I\u2019m thankful for @FordPerformance and their unwavering support. The doctor estimates a 6-8 week recovery, so I\u2019ll be back in the driver\u2019s seat as soon as I\u2019m cleared.”<\/p>\n
