Los Angeles Sparks<\/a> legend Candace Parker<\/a> retired from professional basketball last year after spending 13 illustrious seasons with the purple and gold, while helping L.A. to a title in 2016 \u2014 the franchise’s third WNBA championship<\/a>. Midway through this month’s WNBA Finals between the Aces and Mercury, the Sparks icon reflected<\/a> on now watching playoff games as a fan.<\/p>\n

“It’s insane … just in terms of being here and being able to witness how great these players are and how amazing it is to be in the [WNBA] Finals when I’m just a fan,” Parker said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition, after the\u00a0unveiling of plans<\/a>\u00a0for L.A. to build a state-of-the-art,\u00a0$150 million practice facility<\/a>\u00a0in El Segundo, California,\u00a0via a late-September release<\/a>, Sparks’ star forward\u00a0Dearica Hamby<\/a>\u00a0commented on the team’s\u00a0custom amenities and features<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new facility \u2014\u00a0complete with an outdoor spa pool, dedicated nap rooms and flexible wellness spaces \u2014 will sport the WNBA’s first-ever indoor-outdoor player sanctuary.<\/p>\n
